With the end of the year in sight, I thought it’d be fun to share my most popular DIY and craft projects from the blog this year. It’s an interesting list! There’s a nice mix of food, simple crafts and complex DIYs… which is a relief, because I love posting about all three of these! 🙂
So, are you ready to see my most popular posts of the year?

10. Pantone wall art
Proving that simple can be effective, my Pantone wall art is still hanging pride of place on my stairs. With the recent announcement of the 2018 Pantone colour of the year, now is the perfect time to try it yourself.
Aside from the fact that it’s shaped like a moustache (!), one of my fave things about this project is that it uses things you probably already have lying around at home. I’ve only used mine a few times, but it’s worked like a charm whenever I have.
Deliciously earthy, with a subtle sweetness… this is my go-to weekend treat. I still make this recipe on a weekly basis!
I couldn’t start my day without my overnight oats recipe! I’m all for trying new foods, but breakfast is the one area where I won’t budge – I’ve found what I love, and I’m sticking to it.
These coasters are still holding up strong in my home. I use them every evening with my mug of green tea, and they’re also the coasters I get out when I have guests round. There’s even been a few times where guests haven’t believed that they’re handmade!
Jeez, I love this project. I still smile when I get home and see my DIY house numbers hanging proudly by the door! They’ve held up perfectly to the weather, and look as good as they did on day 1.
I really must make a few more of these notebooks – they’re so handy to have lying around. I filled this one pretty soon after making it!
This scarf is literally the only scarf I’ve worn so far this autumn/winter. It’s SO warm and cosy! The striped pattern is bold enough to be fun, but subtle enough to match with pretty much my entire wardrobe.
I made a small batch of these ornaments last month, and they look great hanging on my tree! I’ll definitely be making more next Christmas – perhaps a few as gift toppers, too.
My most popular DIY post of 2017 was my Santa advent calendar, yay! I’m sooooo happy he came out as number 1! This project was a real labour of love – it took around 2 days of work to make, plus all the planning time! But I love it. He’s hanging up proudly in my living room, as the focal point of our Christmas décor. I’ll be sad to pack him away after Christmas!
So there it is – my readers’ favourite DIYs for 2017! What do you think? Which one is your favourite from this list? Thank you so much for all the support over this year – you guys are the absolute best. I’ll be back with a couple more blog posts before the year is over, but in the meantime I hope you have a very merry Christmas! 🙂 – Mike.
