HAPPY HALLOWEEN! 🎃 Ugh, can you believe that it’s the last day of October already? I feel like Halloween has been a long time coming this year, but I still don’t want it to be over just yet! Anyway, the end of the month is a good time to share an update of what’s been happening behind the scenes lately…
First up, I ran my first Lino printing workshop with Wiseheart Studio last weekend. You might have seen a few sneak peeks on my Instagram. It was such a cool afternoon! I was blown away by the creativity of my class and how awesome their final prints looked. I’ve dropped a bunch of the photos from the event into the gallery slider at the top of this post (and there’s a few more below), so you can see what we got up to. I also want to take the opportunity to say a huuuge thank you to the team at Wiseheart Studio. They’re such a lovely bunch; extremely welcoming and fantastic hosts. Also, the cake that they made was out-of-this-world good!
I’ve got another workshop lined up at Wiseheart Studio later in the year (check out my events page for details). Also, if you’re sad to have missed out on this Lino printing class, then worry not… I’ve got something VERY exciting around the corner, that you’re gonna love! I’m hoping to share some sneak peeks later this week, so follow me on Instagram to be the first to see.
Other than that, the rest of October has been all about one thing: Halloween! I’ve had a definite pumpkin overdose, sharing loads of projects on my blog and social media. Not gonna lie, I’m pretty sad that it’s over for another year. If you missed anything, check out my Halloween archives to catch up.
I’ve also been channeling my love of autumn into my blog lately. First up, I shared some of my top tips for creating a cosy vibe in your home. I’m so happy to have worked with some awesome small businesses on this post – have a read of the post to see who they were (trust me, you’ll love them as much as I do!).
I then shared some tips for throwing the perfect autumn party. Think: table layout, lighting, colour schemes and even a bonus DIY project thrown in there, too! To make your party even more awesome, I shared a recipe for a Swedish apple cake. I’m loving this cake; it’s got the perfect combination of soft sponge, juicy apples and warming spices. Yum!
I’m going to be spending this week taking down my Halloween decorations (sad times), and giving my home a little refresh for the colder months ahead. Anyone who has been following my blog for a while will know that I love making little seasonal changes to my home! I’ve also officially started work on my first Christmas craft project for 2017… watch this space. 🎅🏻⛄❄
I hope you guys have had a great month, whatever you’ve been up to! – Mike.
