I know, I know; New Year’s Eve is a distant memory. But I’m gonna revisit it for one last blog post, I hope you don’t mind! Way back on the 29th December, I hopped in the car and drove all the way to Dover, through the channel tunnel, across France and into Belgium. Phew, what a journey! I then spent a few nights in Bruges with Gareth and his family, to celebrate New Year.
It was the first time I’ve ever been out of the UK for NYE. It was a bit weird, as I’m used to seeing in the start of the year with a group of old school friends. But it was also really nice to do something a bit different, and see somewhere new.
Of course, it wouldn’t be a city break if I didn’t carry round my trusty Canon to snap up some photos and videos. 🙂 Unfortunately, towards the end of the trip I was struck down with a nasty flu (I almost missed the NYE countdown!) – so my footage isn’t the best. But I filmed what I could, and pieced together a little travel video of the trip. So if you fancy taking a look around the idyllic cobbled streets of historic Bruges, then have a watch below – hope you like it!
If you fancy having a gander at more of my travel videos, check out my YouTube playlist, here. I’ve got videos of San Francisco, Iceland, Berlin, Scotland and more! Happy travelling! – Mike.
