Tea milkshake recipe

Tea milkshake recipe Tea milkshake recipeI’m really excited to be working with one of my all-time favourite tea makers, Teapigs, for this post! I’ve been a big fan of theirs for ages, their tea is genuinely some of the best I’ve ever tasted. With this in mind, I was eager to try out one of their “teashake” recipes – that’s a tea milkshake, by the way – to see if they really are as tasty as they look. Spoiler: they absolutely are! Get the recipe below.

  1. Pour 100ml of freshly boiled water over one Teapigs rooibos crème caramel teabag.
  2. Leave to brew for 10 minutes (or a little longer for a richer flavour).
  3. Once brewed, remove the bag and pour the tea into a blender.
  4. Add 3-4 scoops of good quality vanilla ice-cream and blend.
  5. If it’s a little thick, add a splash of milk.
  6. Pour into a glass and top with fruit, chocolate, sprinkles, cream, nuts… anything you like!

This recipe works well with a whole load of teas – try it with mint tea, fruit tea, even Earl Grey. No, seriously, it really does work! It’s a great alternative to shop-bought milkshakes, which are usually full of sugar and a bit sickly sweet. Give it a go this weekend, you don’t know what you’re missing.
