Anyone else got a case of the January blues? I usually love winter, but this year I’m just not feeling it… I’m ready for longer days, brighter evenings and (dare I say it?) a bit of sun. Roll on spring!
To help keep me sane until the new season arrives, I thought I’d add a few more plants to my home. After all, a bit of greenery is a sure-fire way to freshen up your space and improve your mental health. If in doubt, add plants! Although I’m a bit of a plant-killer, so I’ve stuck to the oh-so-easy cacti…
Of course, you can’t have new plants without new planters – and the best sort of planters are handmade ones. 🙂 I had a few pieces of thick felt lying around from this project, so I put them to good use and made some DIY woven felt planters. They were a bit fiddly to weave together, but I LOVE the final effect! Check out the video to see how you can make your own.
DIY Woven Felt Planter
I love the grey colour of my DIY woven felt planters, but you could totally mix it up with other colours. You could even use different felt colours in one planter, to create a rainbow effect, or colour gradient. Go wild! – Mike.
